Hi!

I am a B.Arch student from New Delhi, India. I'v got accepted to the MS Interior Design program for fall 2012.
Are there any grad students who I can talk to about the program?

Also, what is the housing scenario for grad students? Are there any grad students (preferably architecture/interior design) looking to share an apartment?

Please email me - zoya.puri@gmail.com

Cheers,

Zoya

1:03 pm - M.Arch, looking for pratt grad student roommate(s) fall 2012
archelonghorn Hey y'all. 24 year old male from Austin, TX accepted into M.Arch first professional program for Fall 2012. Have been checking out the ads on craig's list and am hopeful to find a couple/few other architecture (GAUD or other major) grad students interested in living in a reasonably affordable share in the Clinton Hill area. Probably looking for an early/mid August time frame? Where's everyone looking? Finding any deals? I'm pretty easy to get along with. I'll likely spend a fair amount of my time at school in studio, so it would be awesome to come home to an environment of chill guys I can get along with. That and I'd much rather live with classmates than strangers. Willing to live with females too as long as there is no drama =) Would be nice to get out of the neighborhood every once in a while...

anyone interested in throwing some ideas out there, reply, or feel free to email me @ michael.monroeut@gmail.com

cheers!

1:00 pm - Masters Student - Looking for Apartment - August 2012
daidream Hello!

I was just accepted to Pratt's MS Communication Design Program. (I am kind of surprised that Pratt is still using LiveJournal- I haven't been on this site since 2002 - Hmm...hope this Communications program is up to date!)

So I am moving back east, leaving SF to move back to NY. I am looking to move into a place in Brooklyn. Would love to live with other Pratt Master Degree students. Please let me know if you need a roommate! Please contact me via email: AS436@yahoo.com

Cheers,

Annie

6:47 pm - KWESTYONS

Hi, PrattComm!

I posted earlier this year with a couple of questions re: (debt management) tuition, and today I've got a couple more, primarily about the (illustration) portfolio. I tried e-mailing Pratt directly but didn't receive a satisfactory answer, so here I am! My apologies in advance if I've overlooked something...obvious, lol. Anyway, questions:

- Regarding the portfolio, how many pieces would a two-page comic be? Would the comic count as a single piece?

- Would Pratt accept a photograph as a piece? Or are only drawn pieces accepted?

- Is illustrated pornography acceptable as a piece? What would be considered inappropriate subject material, if anything?

- My last question is about transferring credits. I intend to take a few classes at my community college to knock out my math/history/etc. course requirements, but I don't have a clue to which ones'd be accepted by Pratt. Could you tell me where to start/point me in the right direction?

Thanks, everyone! Hope your summer's going well!

I'm selling my iPod Touch 4g (it's the current one) for $185. It's near new, with a little bit of scratches on the side. 8GB. It's awesome, but I have an iPhone, so it's just sitting there. I'll be at Pratt tomorrow if you're interested.

9:04 am - POSTER SALE THIS FALL?

pink_nerbles
Hey Yall,

I graduated a 1.5 years ago, so I'm a little out of the loop..

Has anyone seen flyers for or heard anything about a POSTER SALE at Pratt?? They used to do it every year, and I am in need of some sweet architectural and geographical posters - they're so pricey!! Pratt always used to fill the student center with $5 and $10 posters for a day or two at the start of every fall semester, and I'm trying to get in on that this year...

Please let me know if you have any insider info!!

Also please let me know if you are aware of any art/book/junk store that might have cheapo posters..

Thanks much!!!
